Happy Halloween! You do the Tricks, you might get a Treat!!!

Are you a trick or a treat?

I am a treat but I can appreciate a good trick as long as it's done in fun and it doesn't hurt anyone. :-p

What is your favorite Halloween treat?

I am partial to chocolate. My favorites are Snickers, Peanut M&M's, 5th Avenue, and Take 5.

Do you dress up for Halloween? What do you go as?

On Halloween I wear a T-shirt which states I Don't Do Costumes! :-)

Did you know?

Trick or treating started out when people used to go a-souling?

They would go door to door and in exchange for praying for people's deceased loved ones, they would receive a soul cake. Soul cakes remind me of donuts.

Today is Halloween also known as All Hallows Eve. Tomorrow we will celebrate all Saints Day and then Nov. 2nd we will celebrate All Souls Day. It is important not to forget our loved ones who have gone before us!

In honor of these special days, I want to offer a Treat!

The treat is a $5 Amazon Giftcard.

As usual you must be 13 or older to enter.

Following is not necessary for this giveaway, but is always appreciated!

It will be open today through Nov. 2nd.

I will contact the winner via email and you will have 48 hours to respond.

Please spread the word!

I hope your Halloween is safe, happy, healthy, and fun!

Review & Interview with Sahana Epari author of Pure at Heart

I had the privilege to interview Sahana Epari.

She is the 13 year old author of Pure at Heart.

This is what she shared with me:

What is your favorite thing about writing?

I would say my favorite thing about writing would be the fact that I decide what goes on and what happens. It's so much different than reading because, well, as much as I love reading, there isn't anything you can do to change it. Writing is a great way to express yourself, and sometimes things have to go the way that people don't like it, but its me you is the judge of that.

Do you have to concentrate and visualize the story or do ideas just randomly come to you when you're out and about?

The thing about me--I don't plan. In fact, it's not just only for my novels, it's also for anything else I do. I don't write down whats going to be down in the book, I just write and write and see where I go. Yes, I do think about what I could potentially do in my head, but it never comes out down on paper or my computer.

Do you write down ideas or do you put everything on your computer?

All on the computer :) This is mainly because I use the computer literally every day of my life, and I really don't know what I'd do without it. If I write something down, there's a high percentage it would be lost.

What or who inspires you?

There is a few things that inspired me to be an author, one of which is myself. Since when I was young, I've always loved to read. Mid-way through a novel, I would close the book, close my eyes, and imagine what could, or should happen. Of course, that usually ends up to me being extremely disappointed, but that's when I knew. I love imagining things, and that's really what writing is about. Imagination.

Do you think your age puts you at an advantage or disadvantage in your writing? Or do you think it doesn't have an impact?

Well, there is a valid argument to both sides. It does keep me in a disadvantage because a lot of authors or reviewers won't take me seriously, because of my age. In addition, applying to traditional publishing companies would be almost impossible because they usually take serious writers, who are considered an adult. And advantage to me being thirteen, would probably be the fact that more people are impressed because I accomplished something that not many people could do, let alone at such a young age. So, yes, it is an advantage in a personal way.

Do you prefer to go to the theater or wait for the DVD?

Mostly theater. If I'm really psyched for a movie to come out (like the Hunger Games), I would go straight with my friends on the opening day. If it's a movie that I think sounds really interesting, then I would go if I had the time, but not on the first day.

What is your favorite day of the week?
Friday's. It makes me feel like the week's over finally, even though a new one is starting.

If you could pick any destination, where would you go?

I really would like to go somewhere in Europe because I've never been there. France, Belgium, and Germany are on the top of my list.

What food can't you live without?

Chicken curry :)

What types of books do you like to read?

I love urban fantasy, supernatural, and paranormal novels. I can also handle realistic fiction, but I absolutely cannot stand historical fiction. I totally agree!

What type of music do you listen to?

Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift are some of my favorites. I like them too! :D

What is your favorite animal?

Dog, like my dog Sammy. He makes me smile everyday and took up my dedication in Pure at Heart.

Favorite T. V. show? celebrity?

My favorite T.V. show is Pretty Little Liars. I've also read the books. I can't say I have a favorite celebrity.

How do you prefer to communicate ( in person, texting, email, or phone)?

I don't call much, but I text my friends, and email sometimes.

Sahana, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!

Book Description:

I thought I knew everything.

My name is Evaline Pangborne, and I am a werewolf.

You can find out more about Sahana from her  Website or Goodreads.

You can purchase Pure at Heart from Amazon or Barnes and Noble !

My Thoughts:

I liked Pure at Heart. It was not the best nor the worst book that I've ever read but was very enjoyable. It amazed me that Sahana is only 13 and has already written a good story.

There were some typos and an occasional word missing here and there. It wasn't hard to navigate around them though. At times the wording was evidence of Sahana's age (not that that's a bad thing).

The plot was quite good! It consisted of oodles and oodles of mystery and intrigue, action, and a hint of romance, The twists and turns just kept on coming. It was a real page turner.
I really had a hard time liking Eva the main character. The fact that Eva was the Alpha, was stated multiple times through out the book, yet her supposed pack didn't defer to her at all. I really wasn't feeling her as Alpha.

I really hope that Sahana will fill in some of the blanks in the next book. Why is being a white coated wolf so important? What is the importance of Eva's MIA Father? What is Felix's hatred about? What is going on with Eva fainting and being confused? How did Cyril think that him leaving protected her? Oh there are so many questions that I have. I really don't want to wait to read the next book! Write faster Sahana. lol!

Sahana gave me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. :-) Thank you !

I thought Pure at Heart was a terrific first book! Sahana writes so well at thirteen years of age that I can just imagine how much better she will be as she continues to grow in her writing!

Review ARC~ Bonds of Trust by Lynda Aicher

Bonds of Trust (Wicked Play, #1)

From Goodreads:

After ending her passionless marriage, Cali Reynolds is eager to live out her forbidden fantasies. Her first step is attending new members' night at The Den, the most exclusive sex club in town. Perhaps here she can find a man who understands her desire to be dominated…

At first, Jake McCallister thinks Cali has come to his club for the wrong reasons. But when he discovers she is seeking fulfillment after years of denial, he's intrigued—and takes it upon himself to initiate her into the pleasures she's been missing.

Her first encounter with Jake is everything Cali has always craved, and more; she's not prepared for the feelings he inspires in her. And Jake is just as surprised by his overwhelming attraction to Cali. As their play intensifies, so does their bond. Now, Jake doesn't want anyone but Cali—but is he ready to officially claim her? And will she submit to being his forever?

My Thoughts:

Where to begin? This is should be on your what to read after Fifty Shades list. It is definitely an adult book!

Cali Reynolds has decided to finally get some satisfaction. She is looking for something and someone to excite her and she she finds what she is looking for and then some when she goes to The Den. The problem is once isn't enough and she is embarrassed about acting on those types of desires in the light of day. She is afraid of what people will think of her if they found out.

She is indecisive at first about Jake and acting on her desire for him. When she finally makes a decision, something unforeseen happens and they have words. You'll have to read it yourself to find out if they have a HEA.

I found Bonds of Trust to be a steamy story. I had trouble walking away from it. I really, really enjoyed it and I am soooo looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Bonds of Need .

Bonds of Trust wasn't just about sex, many issues would have been resolved if Cali and her ex-husband had communicated. That is so true in any type of relationship, communication is the key! This book also shows how, quite often, we are our own worst enemy and we second guess ourselves and self sabotage things.

This book had steamy adult scenes with some mild BDSM and romance. If you like Fifty Shades of Grey you should give this a try.

I received a review copy from the publisher for review through Netgalley.

You can pre-order a copy of Bonds of Trust from Amazon for $1.99!

It is due out at the end of November from Carina Press.

VBT~ Giveaway and Review ~ Shadow Slayer by Laura A.H. Elliott

Title: Shadow Slayer

The Shadow Series Book #2

Author: Laura A. H. Elliott

 Purchase from: Amazon

Book Description:

Shadows will do anything to become human.

You see their influence everyday.

You say things you don’t mean or do things that aren’t like you.

You look, different.

Friends you’ve known forever suddenly never call.

As a freshman, Roxie just wants to fit in which is impossible because she barely runs into her friends at her huge high school. Adrianne’s disappearance and Hayden’s attention rock Roxie’s world. But nothing rocks it like the most gorgeous guy at school, Drew. And nothing is more important to Roxie than astral projecting back to Planet Popular to solve the mystery of the map. But that changes when Drew invites Roxie to homecoming. Hayden warns her that something’s wrong. Why would a guy like Drew like Roxie anyway? Drew must want something. Hayden’s right. Drew is…different. Planet Popular was just the beginning. Part of a bigger world, the Shadow World. There’s a war brewing between the world of humans and the world of shadows. When the shadow invasion begins at Roxie’s high school, she’ll not only fight for her life but the lives of her family and friends, when she discovers she’s the Shadow Slayer, the one human who can save Earth from the shadow onslaught. But, Roxie can’t even kill a spider. Oh yeah, there’s an evil English teacher, an enchanted play, a sword of Sandonian steel, a homecoming of horrors, and seven magic words too.

Here's a Homecoming teaser:

The band’s taken a break and we’re dancing slow to a song I’ve never heard before. It’s perfect for right now. My first dance at my first homecoming on Earth. I place my head on Drew’s chest and breathe easy for what seems like the very first time all night. He sighs, stroking my thumb with his. I could stay here forever.

“Sorry about that,” Drew says.

“Old girlfriend?” I ask, straightening up just a little, leaning my head back. I catch Drew staring down at me with his golden eyes and forget all about the way he tricked me at the labyrinth. One look at him and I melt.

“Very old.”

“Am I your girlfriend?” I can’t help it. The words just leave my lips, and in the silence after, I wish I had some sort of filter. A boyfriend filter that would stop me from asking lame questions like am I your girlfriend? I can’t help but think that Adrianne would never ask a question like that. And girls that do can’t help but sound kind of psycho. I can’t believe no one has heard from Adrianne. It’s been months.

“What do you think?”

I think I might be too young to feel the way I do about Drew, but it’s been hard coming back as a younger girl after I lived a day as a seventeen-year-old high school homecoming queen in the shadow world. Some things I can’t forget. Some things I can’t change. I’m older now. Even though I don’t look like it.

Drew slides his hands over my hips then they travel up, inch-by-inch, along my ribs. He grabs a hold of my hands and unwraps them from around his neck. We stand toe-to-toe facing each other. Drew spins me in a circle. The reflections from the disco ball shower us and make it seem like we’re dancing in a dream world. He spins me again then pulls me close. I bury my head in his chest and stare at our shadows on the floor. But I only see one. Mine.

My Thoughts:

First, I suggest reading 13 on Halloween (Book one) before reading this book. It is free and it helps to set the scene for Shadow Slayer. I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me what it was like to be in school.

There was action and romance throughout the book. I found myself at the end of the book quicker than I would have liked. I am eager to see what happens next. :-)
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Honestly I thought it was a good read!

VBT Giveaway, Review and Guestblog by Roxanne Rhoads author of Hex and the Single Witch

Today Roxanne Rhoads is guestblogging for me!!!

Supernatural Bad Boys- The Ultimate Thrill

Guest Blog by Roxanne Rhoads

I think most women are programmed to be attracted to the bad boy, the broken boy, the dangerous boy- and who portrays the bad boy better than a supernatural boy?

Supernatural bad boys give a danger craving lady the thrill of a lifetime. They are the epitome of the bad boy stereotype with the added bonus real danger, supernatural strength and paranormal powers.

Plus they may have lived for a really long time so some girls may get their daddy issues covered along with that craving for the bad boy because let’s face it a guy that’s lived for decades, centuries possibly, should have infinite wisdom and the extreme added bonus of really knowing how to please to a woman sexually.

If he doesn’t after all that time then he’s an idiot. If he’s a vampire someone should stake him. Immediately. That way no other woman falls prey to the possibility of a paranormal paramour with promises of passion and pleasure only to be disappointed.

We get enough of that in real life.

That’s why we love our paranormal romances and urban fantasy books so much. The men are gorgeous, strong, dangerous and delicious.

And they want us- normal, plain, human woman that finally can light that spark inside them that’s been missing for so long.

We get to fix their brokenness, tame their bad boy ways, all while being swooped up into supernaturally strong, muscle bulging arms and carried off to beds where we are shown unimaginable pleasure than no mere mortal could ever offer.

Ultimate fantasy right?

Seems so for many of us right now. Nothing’s hotter than supernatural sex with the ultimate bad boys.

I know I can’t get enough. I love to read about the paranormal hotties as well as write about them.

My Halloween novella A Halloween to Remember (eXcessica) features Adena, a young woman hoping to someday meet the man of her dreams. When she encounters Dimitri at her friend Chrissy’s wild Halloween party she doesn’t believe she has a ghost of a chance with him until they get to know each other a little better and Adena realizes he may be the man she’s been hoping for. Too bad the next morning Adena wakes up alone- in a small cemetery behind the house. Halloween magic brought them together but will it be strong enough to keep them together?

It’s a fun filled paranormal erotic romance- heavy on the erotic. No vampires but there’s plenty of magick in the air.

If vampires are what you crave my novella Eternal Desire (Eternal Press) is set in New Orleans during Halloween. LizBeth, a paranormal researcher, is searching for the shadowy vampire that haunts her dreams. Instead of finding him she encounters a handsome stranger that may finally be the one man that can take her mind off the vampire. As Halloween grows closer LizBeth finds herself torn between a shadow and a stranger not knowing who to choose. The magic of Halloween may help her decide once the clock strikes midnight and spirits walk freely in the flesh.

My newest release Hex and the Single Witch (also set during Halloween) features a human and vampire vying for witch Anwyn’s heart. From the beginning my goal was that Galen, the vampire, supernatural hottie extraordinaire would have Anwyn and there would be no love triangle. Then Mike Malone decided otherwise and ended up shoving his way into the book as not only a main character but as a love interest for Anwyn. A romantic story line turned into a steamy love triangle. Now it’s human versus vampire to win the heart of a witch. Who do you think will win?

Anwyn Rose is descended from a long line of powerful witches yet she can barely cast spells young witchlings have mastered. She has one functioning witch gift, the power of knowing, which she puts to good use as a Detective on Flint’s Preternatural Investigation Team.

It’s a new era in Vehicle City, supernaturals are running the town.

The P.I.T has their hands full with paranormal crimes. Top priority is a serial killer, who appears to be a vampire, draining young women in the city.

Anwyn is on the case with her sexy partner Detective Mike Malone. Complicating things is her relationship Galen, a vampire who looks more guilty than innocent, although Anwyn trusts her instincts even if her power is on the fritz.

Mysterious spells, compromising situations, and a possible demon on the loose make it hard to focus on the case, but Anwyn has to make things right before the human police execute the wrong vampire.

Hex and the Single Witch contains magick, a little bit of mystery, a lot of supernatural mayhem, and a sexy love triangle that will leave you wanting more.

My Thoughts:

I gotta love a book that starts with Right Said Fred. Simply put Hex and the Single Witch was fun, witty, and hot.

This is definitely a book meant for adults. It was loaded with very hot, drool worthy, alpha type males, There were oodles of steamy, sexy, lusty scenes! ;-) There was a love triangle that left me alternating between which man I was rooting for. At the end of this book, I am team Mike but I reserve the right to switch teams in the next book.

There were so many times I was laughing out loud. I gotta love relatives that start the saying "Don't have a cow" and Anwyn's dreams were too funny especially the one about Rod Stewart. That was completely unexpected.

From beginning to end the pages of Hex and the Single Witch were full of supernatural creatures, fun sexy music, action, mystery, smokin hot scenes, and magic. This book has something for everyone age 18 and over.

The book flowed smoothly from chapter to chapter and I only found a few spots where it lulled slightly. This usually happens when a series is starting because it is necessary to put extra detail or explain the back story and this book was no exception. For the most part I read the book without stopping. It had me enthralled. I needed to find out what was happening to Anwyn and see which man she would choose. I have to say I had a suspicion about who was behind Anwyn's problem and I was right!

I thought Sex I mean Hex and the Single Witch was fantabulous! I recommend it to all adults looking for a paranormal book that has it all and then some. This book should be a must read for you!

I received a copy of this book from Bewitching Book Tours in exchange for my honest opinion.

My thoughts:

This was a tale of two Charlies. Charlie A. is a handsome, kind, and charming man. Charlie B. is a sweet, confused, woman weighed down with misplaced guilt and doubts.

Every time I thought they were going to get together, something would happen. I really liked this sweet story. I enjoyed watching the Charlies grow close. I admire Charlie A. for his patience, kindness, and being more understanding than Charlie B. deserved at times.

I liked how the story went back and forth between Charlie B's perspective and Charlie A.'s.

I really enjoyed this story and even got teary a couple of times. I recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet romance with a very lovable leading man.

Review and Interview with A.F. Costa author of Bruxa The Secret Within

I interviewed A.F. Costa and this is what she shared with me:

Which of your characters is your favorite to write? the easiest? the hardest? the most fun?

My favorite character to write was Alvero I had the most fun with his character as well. My hardest character to write was Joey I wanted the reader to love him and distrust him at the same time. Gabriella was the easiest maybe it’s because she has that nerviness we all once had once, before getting hit with the cruel reality of truth.

What do you hope people get out of reading your book?

To never to give up even when the world around you is caving in, there is always hope.  I love that message!

If you could pick any destination, where would you go?

I would love to go see Portugal the mainland, so much history and beauty.

Elevator or stairs?

Elevator, but my waist line could use the stairs.  lol! Mine too!

Do you prefer baked or fried?

I’m not big on fried food, so baked.

Hardback, paperback, or ebook?

I love paperback the smell and the feel, but money wise eBooks is much better.

What is your all time favorite book?

Secret Circle, I read it when I was younger and it still feels as if I read it yesterday.
What is your favorite part of the day?

When I see my son after school or work.

Are you more likely to wear a skirt or pants?

Pants I’m a real tomboy at heart.  Hear, Hear!

What is your favorite sport?

Soccer but I have to say I love watching my son play hockey.

Do you have a favorite scent?

Funny you ask, I go through fazes right now that it’s getting colder cinnamon spice scents are my favorite.

Fresh air or air conditioning?

Fresh air hands down, especially ocean air.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. :D

I had a great time answering your questions, thank you for the interview.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

My Thoughts:

Bruxa was a magical journey of self discovery for Gabby a half breed. She is torn between her two heritages.

I felt bad for Gabby. It was hard for her to find out that her parents kept secrets from her. These secrets were now coming about and she felt like she was going crazy. I get the feeling that her mom is still keeping things from her.

She has two love interests and they both seem to have secrets. I hope she ends up with Alvero. ;-)

I was enthralled by this story. I couldn't wait to see who she ended up with. I will have to wait for the next book I guess! There were so many twists and turns in this story. There are so many secrets to figure out. It seems like everyone has an ulterior motive. I don't think anything is as it seems.

The plot was riddled with mystery and secrets, some romance, action, and magic. It was evenly paced and easy to read.

I recommend it to all those looking for a good paranormal story to read. This book has a mixture of vamps and witches. Some of the witches can shapeshift which makes it even more interesting. Bruxa is age appropriate for anyone! If you like Secrets by Dawn Kirby, you'd like this book too.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to finding out more in the next book. :D

Giveaway, Character Interview, and Review ~ Edge of Oblivian by J.T. Geissinger

CHARACTER INTERVIEW with MORGAN MONTGOMERY

An Ikati shape-shifter able to turn to vapor or panther and also having the very powerful gift of suggestion, Morgan’s rebellious nature has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. Today we chat about food, vacations and shoes.

Q: What would most embarrass you?

A: (Laughing) I’m way more easily pissed off than embarrassed, so I don’t know. Maybe if I had to sing in public. The thought of doing Karaoke makes me queasy.

Q: What five words best describe you?

A: Passionate. Tough. Hot-tempered. Complicated. Flawed.

Q: What do you loathe?

A: (Her face darkens at this question.) Rules. All kinds of rules. For me, a rule is always made to be broken.

Q: What do you love?

A: (Smiling now.) Well…I’m fond of a certain assassin named Alexander. Apart from him, I love moonlight and summer storms and shoes. God, I love shoes. Shoes are my kryptonite; I will literally become weak-kneed at the sight of a pair of Louboutin’s.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: Since moving to Kadavu…abalone. Xander and I devour them raw right after harvesting them from the volcanic rocks in the shallow water of the bay. Sweeter and more tender than oysters, they’re divine. My second favorite food is caviar, but I haven’t had that in a while! There’s only one main grocery store on this island!

Q: If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: Here! Kadavu is the fourth-largest island in the Fiji island chain, and it’s got to be the single most beautiful place on earth. Crystal waters, pristine rainforest, untouched beaches…I hope I’ll never have to leave this place.

Q: Driving or flying?

A: I’m a creature of the earth, darling. Driving, for sure. (Smirks.) Running is even better, especially in panther form.

Book Description:

Morgan Montgomery is waiting to die. Branded a traitor by her tribe, the Ikati shape-shifter has no hope for mercy—until Jenna, the Ikati’s newly crowned queen and Morgan’s former ally, offers one last chance for redemption. Morgan must infiltrate the Rome headquarters of the Expurgari, the Ikati’s ancient enemy, to destroy them once and for all. The beautiful renegade has just a fortnight to complete her mission or forfeit her life. Because she does not travel alone…

Xander Luna is a trained assassin and the Ikati’s most feared enforcer, famed for his swift brutality and stony heart. Fiercely loyal, he is prepared to hate the traitor under his watch—until they come face to face. For Morgan Montgomery arouses something unexpected inside of him, something that threatens everything he believes in and the fate of the tribe itself: a love as powerful and passionate as it is forbidden.

Here is a peak at Edge of Oblivion.

“Come,” barked Leander from behind the closed door. Matthew pushed it open. Not satisfied to merely enter the room with her trailing behind, he turned, grasped her by the arm, dragged her over the threshold, then released her abruptly, as if he’d been burned by touching her.

So of course she fell. Of course she did.

Caught on one of the heels of her shoes, the hem of her dress tangled beneath her feet. The delicate fabric gave way with a soft ripping noise and she pitched forward, unable to throw her arms out for balance because they were cuffed tight behind her back. She fell to her knees on the cold marble floor with a bone-crunching jolt that startled a pained gasp from her lips, but just before she fell flat on her face, something stopped her.

A pair of hands. Strong and warm at her shoulders.

She was caught and steadied, pushed gently back to her knees where she rocked, finding her balance. Then she lifted her head and looked up—

—into a pair of eyes, brilliant amber rimmed in kohl, that stared out from a sun-darkened face of such cold, savage beauty it sent a thrill of pure fear humming along every nerve. Adrenaline lashed through her body, primitive and chemical, and abruptly awoke the animal inside that bristled and hissed and screamed danger! at the top of its lungs.

He was huge—tall and thickly muscled, far larger than any of her lithe, sinewy kin—and had shoulders so wide she crouched in a pool of thrown shadows at his feet. His black hair, tipped on his wide forehead to a widow’s peak, was cropped close to his head. His clothes were black as well, simple and form-fitting, made for ease of movement. On his back was a pair of crossed swords, sheathed in leather scabbards. On his belt and boots were more weapons, gleaming wicked in the light.

But all this paled in comparison to the more imminent threat of his eerie, amber eyes.

They fixed on hers, unblinking, unfeeling, and she realized with another jolt that this man staring back at her in absolute stillness with that beautiful face and those scorching, fire-lit eyes wasn’t anything she’d ever seen before. He was alive, his body was alive, but behind that mask of perfection, there wasn’t a shred of humanity or mercy or kindness or feeling. There was nothing. He was dead.

Soul dead.

He was the most terrifying thing she’d ever seen.

“Xander,” said a voice from her right. Leander’s, she supposed, aware on a molecular level of her thundering heart, her frozen muscles, the stranger’s gaze that had dropped to the pulse beating wildly in the hollow of her neck. His nostrils flared with an inhalation, and for one wild, horrified moment, she thought he might lean down and tear out her throat with his teeth.

But he didn’t. He only lifted that piercing gaze back to hers and, in a motion of fluid, predatory grace, drew her to her feet. He released her and stepped back, never blinking, his attention never wavering, those piercing dead eyes never leaving her face.

“Xander,” Leander said again. “This is Morgan. Your flight for Rome leaves at one o’clock.”

About the Author:

A life-long lover of reading and a self-professed “book addict,” J.T. Geissinger didn’t realize her dream of writing a novel until a milestone birthday forced her to take stock of her goals in life. Always believing the right time to commit to putting pen to paper would magically announce itself, it took waking up one cold January morning with a shiny new zero as the second number in her age to kick start her determination.

More than a year and two unsold novels later, it was time to take stock again.

But her determination matched her initial procrastination, and she kept on writing and learning and trying to improve, trusting that if it was meant to be, it would be.

Then, during a trip to Italy in honor of their 10th wedding anniversary and the honeymoon she and her husband never took, she received an email that would change her life. It was from a literary agent, and it contained the three words every aspiring author longs to hear: “I loved it.”

The manuscript was sold to Montlake Romance who published it six months later. Hitting the Amazon bestseller lists in both the US and the UK within weeks of publication, Shadow’s Edge was book one of the Night Prowler Novels. Book two, Edge of Oblivion published October 2nd, and book three will follow in the spring of 2013. Three additional installations in the Night Prowler series are planned for the future.

My Thoughts:

I was intrigued before I even started reading this book! The cover was very compelling and the description didn't hurt either!

This is book two in the Night Prowler series. Book one is Shadow's Edge and I recommend reading them in order even though Edge of Oblivian can be read as a stand alone book.
This series is about shapeshifting panthers called the Ikati. Morgan is waiting to die. Xander is going to kill her if she doesn't accomplish her impossible goal.

I found this book to be a page turner. I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning till the end.

Edge of Oblivion had shifters, action, intrigue, and romance. ;-) My favorite kind of book!

I recommend this to everyone who likes shifter books. It reminded me a little of Christine Feehan's books. So if you like her books, (and who doesn't?) then you should definitely try the Night Prowler series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Honestly, it was an action packed adventure that I thought was pretty awesome!
